Lifestyle Interior Design Ltd is a small consultancy committed to designing interiors which are creative, functional and sustainable, with each project tailored to the client’s specific requirements and budget.
The company was founded at the end of 2020 by Annette Waddington who has worked as an interior designer for over 30 years, both here in the United Kingdom and overseas, primarily working on residential and hospitality projects. As someone who is both a real homebody and passionate about design, Annette’s aim is to help people make the best of their home, take the headache out of the design process, and at the same time save them time and money. This includes, but is not limited to:
Discussing the client’s needs and what they are looking to achieve, to gain an in-depth understanding of the project.
Doing the space-planning in order to make the most of the property, which is one of the most important parts of the design process, and can be quite time consuming.
Researching furniture, lighting, finishes, etc.
Liaising with other consultants and contractors, as required, to ensure that the work is carried out in a timely manner and to the highest standards.
With lockdown changing the way we both live and work, and the plethora of interior design shows on television, people are more aware than ever of the importance of design. Annette’s approach is that interior design should be affordable for everyone, it should improve your living and working environments, especially if you are working from home, and with a designer on board to handle everything, the client can then focus on what is most important to them.
Lifestyle Interior Design offers three core packages, ranging from providing concept designs only, with suggestions for furniture, lighting, etc. which is the most cost-effective approach and an ideal place to start with hiring an interior designer, to full-service design, which goes from design concept through to project management and completion on site.
Over the course of her career, Annette has built up an extensive list of suppliers for all things interior design related but she will focus on specifying from British companies, and using local suppliers, trades, etc. as much as possible for each project. With a keen interest in the environment and sustainability, Annette supports reusing, recycling and upcycling, as well as sourcing products from companies who offset their carbon emissions, have a policy to reduce their carbon footprint as much as possible and give back to the community.
